HOWARD AND WHITE OF U.S. PROPERTIES SELL COMMERCIAL BUILDING FOR $160,000

GROTON, CT - Susan Howard and Jim White of U.S. Properties, Inc. sold the commercial building located at 224 Eastern Point Road in Groton for $160,000. Built in 1931 on 0.21 acres overlooking the Thames River, the building comprises 1,072 s/f located on the main floor. In addition, the former owners, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Southeastern Connecticut, Inc., who had acquired the property in 1983, converted the upper level space into 2 offices and built a lower level boardroom.

The buyer, Gator Rock, LLC of Metheun, Massachusetts will lease the property to the Aulson Company, Inc. The Aulson Company is a specialty contractor that will be painting the submarines built at Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics, located in Groton.

The seller was represented in this transaction by Attorney Patricia Modzelewski, of the law firm Peck & Tuneski P.C. of New London. Attorney Garon Camassar, of the law firm Dubicki, Camassar & Simonson, L.L.P. of New London, represented the buyer.
