Howard and White of U.S. Properties sell commercial building for $252,000

Susan Howard and Jim White of U.S. Properties, Inc. sold the former COREplus Federal Credit Union building located at 40 Main Street in Norwich for $252,000.

Built in 1865 on 0.05 acres, the building comprises a 1,442 s/f credit union. The sale also included the eight-car parking lot located just right of the subject building. The former owners had acquired the property in September 1991.

The buyer, Cathy Rickes, was also represented by Howard and White. The buyer will renovate the property and use it as the main office for her mortgage company, Noni's Finance, LLC.

The seller was represented in this transaction by Attorney Gerald M. Smith of the law firm, Chinigo, Leone & Maruzo, LLP of Norwich. Attorney Elizabeth Steele of the law firm, Difrancesca & Steele, P.C., represented the buyer and her lender. Financing for this transaction was provided by Jewett City Savings Bank.
